Please let me apologise for the disruption and disappearance of "Old Deptford History" for the 3 weeks. I had domain/set-up issues but I'm happy to say this has now been sorted. Thanks for your patients and continued support whilst I've been off air!

Hi glad your back.
Could any one help me please, looking for any information regarding Hyde St. Deptford. My grandmother was Rebecca Smith, before she married my grandfather James Andrews she ran a grocers shop for the Smith family at 17 Hyde street. Any info would be great, the family did have a picture of the shop but unfortunately it has disappeared.
